Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how the Cube Pop iOS application ("Cube Pop", the "App", "we", "us", "our") handles information when you use the App. Cube Pop is a single-player block puzzle game.
We've designed Cube Pop to collect as little information as possible. You do not create an account. We do not ask for your name, email, phone, location, photos, contacts, microphone, or anything else. By using the App, you agree to the practices in this policy.
Plain English summary: Cube Pop is offline-first. We don't know who you are. The only data that leaves your device is the encrypted Apple receipt for in-app purchases. That's it.
2. Information We Collect
Local On-Device Data
The App stores the following on your device only, using Apple's standard UserDefaults storage:
- Your current progression (highest level completed, star counts)
- Your high score
- Your sound and haptics preferences
This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App.
Purchase Information (via Apple)
When you purchase a subscription or the one-time Lifetime unlock, Apple processes the transaction under Apple's Privacy Policy. Apple shares the encrypted transaction receipt with our subscription-management provider (RevenueCat) so that we can verify the purchase and restore it on your other Apple devices signed in with the same Apple ID.
We receive only:
- An anonymous identifier generated on first launch (a random UUID with no link to your real identity)
- The product identifier you purchased (e.g.
cubepop_yearly) - The subscription status (active, expired, trial, refunded)
- The expiration date for active subscriptions
We do not see your Apple ID, your credit card, your billing address, or any other payment details. Apple processes all payments.
Diagnostics (Optional)
If you have enabled "Share with App Developers" in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements, Apple may share aggregated, non-identifiable crash and performance data with us. We use this only to fix bugs. This is opt-in at the system level — Cube Pop never asks for it.
3. What We Do NOT Collect
For absolute clarity, Cube Pop does not collect or access any of the following:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or postal address
- Your contacts, calendar, or messages
- Your location, GPS, or Wi-Fi network data
- Your photos, camera, or microphone
- Your Apple ID or any account information
- The IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers)
- Browsing or activity outside the App
- Any third-party advertising tracker data
Cube Pop displays no advertising and integrates no analytics SDK.
4. Third-Party Services
Apple (App Store, In-App Purchase)
Purchases are processed by Apple. Apple's privacy practices apply to all payment data. See apple.com/legal/privacy.
RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat to verify subscription receipts and enable the "Restore Purchases" feature across devices. RevenueCat receives only the anonymous identifier and the Apple receipt described above. RevenueCat's privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.
That's the complete list. Cube Pop does not use Firebase, Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, AdMob, AppLovin, or any other third-party SDK.
5. How We Use Information
The minimal data described above is used only to:
- Deliver, verify, and restore your in-app purchases
- Keep your subscription status accurate across your Apple devices
- Save your progression so it persists between game sessions on the same device
- Fix bugs through aggregated, non-personal crash diagnostics from Apple
We never sell, rent, lease, or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties for marketing purposes.
6. Children's Privacy
Cube Pop is rated 4+ in the App Store and is appropriate for all ages, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or under 14/16 in some EU member states where the digital-consent age is higher).
The App does not require an account, profile, login, name, email, or any personal data to be played. Subscriptions require an Apple ID, which Apple manages with its own parental controls (Family Sharing and Ask to Buy).
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided any information to us, please contact [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.
7. Data Retention
- Local on-device data (progression, settings) is retained until you uninstall the App.
- Subscription receipts and the anonymous identifier are retained by Apple and RevenueCat for as long as required to support the subscription and to comply with tax and accounting obligations.
- We do not retain personal data on our own servers because we do not collect any.
8. Your Rights and Choices

GDPR / UK GDPR (EU and UK residents)
You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because Cube Pop does not link any data to your identity, there is generally no personal data for us to access or delete on our side. To remove the anonymous identifier used for subscription verification, uninstall the App.
California (CCPA / CPRA)
You have rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing (we do not sell or share), limit use of sensitive information, and non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
How to Exercise Rights
Email [email protected] with the subject line "Cube Pop Privacy Request". We will respond within the time required by applicable law (typically 30 days under GDPR).
9. Security
All communication with Apple and RevenueCat occurs over TLS 1.2+ encrypted connections. Apple's payment infrastructure protects payment data end-to-end. Local data is stored using Apple's standard secure storage mechanisms. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect data in transit and at rest.
10. International Data Transfers
Apple and RevenueCat operate globally. By using the App, you acknowledge that anonymized purchase metadata may be processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where these providers operate. For transfers of personal data from the EU/UK to other regions, our processors rely on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and other appropriate safeguards.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide additional notice within the App. Continued use of the App after a change indicates acceptance.
