Terms of Service

Welcome to Bible Widget App: Daily Verse. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the App, published by TRY2APP LTD ("we", "us", "our"). Please read them carefully. By installing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, please do not install the App or uninstall it immediately.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital consent age in your jurisdiction) to use the App. If you are a minor, you may use the App only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
3. Your Account
The App does not require you to create an account. You do not need to provide any personal information to use the App. Your widgets, verse selections, and background photo choices are stored locally on your device only.
Because there is no account, we cannot recover your saved widgets if you uninstall the App or switch devices. Your subscription can be restored on a new device via Apple's "Restore Purchases" mechanism, since that is tracked by Apple and RevenueCat, not by us.
4. License to Use the App
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download and use the App on iOS devices that you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices
- Use the App for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent
- Use bots, scrapers, or other automated systems to access the App
- Bypass any paywall or anti-abuse measures
5. Scripture Text & Third-Party Photos
Verse text included in the App is drawn from the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible, which is in the public domain. You are free to use, share, and display verse text shown in the App.
Background photos available in the App are sourced from Pexels and are provided under the Pexels License, which permits free use and does not require attribution. As a courtesy to photographers, the App still displays photographer credit and a link back to Pexels where a photo was sourced from Pexels. Photos remain the property of their respective photographers. You may not use the App to download and redistribute Pexels photos outside the App, and you may not use them to sell unaltered copies or in any way that violates the Pexels License.
Widgets you assemble from verse text and a background photo (your "Widget Configuration") are yours to use for personal, non-commercial display on your own devices.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the App to:
- Violate any law or regulation
- Violate the intellectual property rights of Pexels photographers or any other party
- Interfere with or disrupt the App or third-party services it relies on (Pexels, RevenueCat, Firebase)
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or third-party systems used by the App
- Use automated means to scrape or bulk-download content from the App
- Bypass rate limits or paywalls
We reserve the right to terminate your access to the App immediately and without notice for any violation of these Acceptable Use rules.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
The App is a subscription-only service — there is no free tier. Full access to widget creation, verse categories, and background photos requires an active Premium subscription, administered by Apple through the App Store:
biblewidget.premium.weekly — Weekly plan. Auto-renews weekly until cancelled.biblewidget.premium.yearly — Yearly plan. Auto-renews yearly until cancelled.
The current price of each plan is displayed in the App at the time of purchase and reflects your local App Store pricing.
Apple-Mandated Subscription Terms
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the cost of the chosen subscription package. You can manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal by going to your Apple ID Account Settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Pricing
Apple displays the price in your local currency at the time of purchase. We may change prices from time to time, but changes will not affect any subscription you have already purchased for its current billing period.
No Free Access
The App does not provide any free, trial, or promotional access to new users unless a free trial is explicitly offered on the purchase screen through Apple's subscription mechanism.
8. Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not have the ability to issue refunds directly.
9. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
- THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE
- BACKGROUND PHOTOS FROM UNSPLASH WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE
- WIDGETS WILL REFRESH AT ANY SPECIFIC INTERVAL, AS THIS DEPENDS ON iOS'S OWN WIDGETKIT SCHEDULING, WHICH IS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL
- DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US (IF ANY) IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR USD $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES OR LIMITATIONS ON LIABILITY, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which TRY2APP LTD is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where prohibited by mandatory consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction. If you reside in the European Union or United Kingdom, you retain the protections of mandatory local consumer law.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via in-app message or update the "Effective date" at the top of these Terms. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
