Getting started

How does the App decide which program to recommend?

During onboarding you answer five short questions about where you feel discomfort, how severe it is, how often it happens, your yoga experience, and your primary goal. The App uses those answers to surface a "For you" program on the home screen. You can always browse all programs from the Programs tab.

How long is each session?

Programs run from about 5 minutes (quick reset) up to 12 minutes (deeper sequences). You can pause at any time, skip a pose, or close the player and pick up later.

Do I need any equipment?

No. Most programs are floor-based and need only a yoga mat or a soft surface. A few "Chair" variations let you practice from a seated position with no mat at all. Comfortable, loose clothing is helpful but not required.

Where do the voice cues come from?

Voice cues are generated on your device using Apple's built-in speech synthesis. Nothing is recorded and no audio is sent to our servers.

Programs and poses

What's the difference between Programs, Breathing, and Meditations?

Programs are guided sequences of yoga poses for specific areas (lower back, upper back, neck, shoulders, full back). Breathing sessions guide you through pranayama techniques like Box Breath and 4-7-8 to calm the nervous system. Meditations are seated or lying-down practices including Yoga Nidra for deep rest.

Some programs have a lock icon โ€” what's that?

Free programs are available without a subscription. Programs marked with a lock icon are part of the premium library and require an active subscription to play.

How do I track my streak?

Each completed session adds to your streak count, visible on the home screen. The streak resets if you skip a full calendar day. Don't stress about perfection โ€” even one short session a few times a week is great.

Can I set a daily reminder?

Yes โ€” open Settings inside the App and tap the reminder section to set a time. iOS will ask for notification permission the first time. You can change the time or turn the reminder off at any time.

Subscriptions and billing

What does the subscription unlock?

An active subscription unlocks every program, every breathing technique, and every meditation in the library, plus daily reminders and streak tracking. New content is added regularly.

What plans are available?

Both plans unlock the same content. Pricing is displayed inside the App in your local currency.

How do I cancel my subscription?

iOS Settings โ†’ tap your name at the top โ†’ Subscriptions โ†’ Yoga for Back Pain โ†’ Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of your billing period. (We can't cancel subscriptions for you โ€” Apple manages this directly.)

How do I get a refund?

All purchases are processed by Apple, so refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We don't have the ability to issue refunds ourselves.

I subscribed but the locked content isn't unlocked.

Open the App's Settings tab and tap "Restore Purchases". This re-syncs your purchases from Apple. If your subscription still doesn't appear after a minute, email us with your purchase confirmation from Apple.

Can I switch from Weekly to Yearly?

Yes โ€” you can switch plans at any time from iOS Settings โ†’ Subscriptions โ†’ Yoga for Back Pain. Apple handles the proration automatically.

Will my free trial auto-renew into a paid subscription?

Yes. Apple will charge for the first weekly period at the end of the 3-day free trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. To avoid being charged, cancel from iOS Settings โ†’ Subscriptions before the trial ends. Your trial access continues to the end date even after you cancel.

Privacy and data

What data does the App collect?

Only what's needed to make the App work: a random anonymous identifier, your onboarding answers, your session count and streak, and your subscription status. No name, no email, no location, no HealthKit data, no advertising trackers. Full breakdown in our Privacy Policy.

How do I delete all my data?

Email us at [email protected] with the subject "Data Deletion Request" and your anonymous user ID. We'll delete all data associated with your installation within 7 business days. Uninstalling the App alone does not delete server-side data โ€” you need to email us if you want everything wiped.

Do you sell my data?

No. We don't sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers. We don't run ads in the App. Our only revenue is from subscriptions.

Are my onboarding answers (pain location, severity, etc.) safe?

Yes. Those answers are stored under a random anonymous identifier, never linked to your name or Apple ID, and used only to recommend the right yoga program inside the App. They are never shared with anyone, never sold, and never used to advertise.

Troubleshooting

The App is stuck on the launch screen.

Force-close the App (swipe up from the bottom and swipe the App away) and re-open. If it still happens, restart your iPhone, then re-open. If the issue persists, email us with your iOS version and iPhone model.

The voice cue isn't playing.

Check that your device isn't in silent mode and that the volume is up. The voice uses Apple's on-device speech synthesizer, so an internet connection is not required for cues. Pause and resume the player to re-trigger the cue for the current pose.

My reminder didn't fire.

Open iOS Settings โ†’ Notifications โ†’ Yoga for Back Pain and confirm Allow Notifications is on, with Banners and Sounds enabled. Also check Focus modes (Do Not Disturb, Sleep) โ€” they suppress notifications by design.

A pose image is missing or shows a placeholder.

The App falls back to a placeholder if a pose illustration hasn't downloaded yet. Make sure you're connected to the internet and re-open the program. If the placeholder persists, email us the program name so we can investigate.

The home screen looks empty after I onboarded.

Pull-to-refresh the home tab, or open Settings and back out. If it stays empty, restart the App. The "For you" program is selected from your onboarding answers โ€” you can also browse the full Programs tab directly.

Safety and medical questions

The App is a general fitness tool, not medical advice. If you're recovering from an injury, recently had surgery, are pregnant, have a chronic spinal condition, or are experiencing acute pain, talk to a qualified healthcare professional before using the App.

Is yoga safe with a herniated disc / sciatica / scoliosis?

It depends on your specific condition and stage of recovery. Some yoga movements can help, others can make things worse. Please get clearance from a physician or physiotherapist who has examined you, and start with the gentlest sessions.

A pose hurts. What should I do?

Stop the pose immediately. Sharp pain, shooting pain, numbness, tingling, or dizziness are signs to stop, not to push through. You can skip the pose using the "Next" button in the player, or close the session entirely. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.

I'm pregnant โ€” can I use the App?

The programs in the App are not designed specifically for pregnancy. Many poses are unsafe during pregnancy. Please consult your obstetrician or a prenatal yoga specialist before using the App.

How often should I practice?

Consistency matters more than length. A short, regular practice (3โ€“5 times a week) is generally more effective than long, infrequent sessions. Listen to your body and rest when you need to.
