What does Paparazzi AI do?
Paparazzi AI turns a normal photo of you into a realistic celebrity paparazzi-style photo — direct flash, candid framing, tabloid energy — while keeping your face and identity exactly recognizable.
How do I create my first paparazzi photo?
Open the App and tap Create Paparazzi Photo. Take a new photo or choose one from your library, pick one of the 8 paparazzi styles, then tap Generate.
What kind of photo works best?
A clear photo where your face is fully visible works best. Avoid heavy existing filters, extreme shadows, or sunglasses, so the AI has enough detail to preserve your likeness accurately.
How long does a generation take?
About 20–40 seconds on average, right after the subscription check.
Why doesn't the result look exactly like I imagined?
Paparazzi AI uses a generative AI model — it's creative, not deterministic. The same photo can produce slightly different results on different runs. Try another style or another photo to see a different take.
Can I save the result to my Photos?
Yes. On the result screen, tap Save. The first time you do this, iOS will ask permission to add to your Photo Library.
Will the AI change my face?
No — every style is built to strongly preserve your facial identity, geometry, eyes, nose, lips, skin tone, hairstyle, and apparent age. The AI only changes lighting, background, camera aesthetic, and paparazzi framing.
Where can I find my past shots?
Tap My Paparazzi Shots on the Home screen (it appears once you've generated at least one photo) to browse, save, share, or delete anything you've created. It's stored locally on your device only.
Premium subscription
Do I need to subscribe to use the App?
Yes. Paparazzi AI is a subscription-only app — there are no one-time purchases or credits. An active Premium subscription unlocks a weekly allowance of paparazzi-style generations.
What plans are available?
- Weekly Premium — 7 paparazzi-style generations every week while the subscription is active. Auto-renews weekly until cancelled.
- Yearly Premium — 10 paparazzi-style generations every week while active. Auto-renews yearly. Best long-term value.
The current price of each plan is shown at the time of purchase in your local currency.
How does the weekly quota work?
Your allowance resets every 7 days from when your subscription started — not on a fixed day of the week. Unused generations don't carry over into the next week. You can see exactly how many you have left on the Home screen (top-right pill) and in Settings.
What happens when I run out for the week?
You'll see a "You're out of shots this week" screen showing when your quota resets. If you're on the Weekly plan, you can upgrade to Yearly right from that screen for a higher weekly allowance (10 instead of 7) — the upgrade applies immediately, on top of what you've already used that week.
When am I asked to subscribe?
Right after you pick a photo and a style and tap Generate. If you're not already subscribed, the paywall appears before anything is sent anywhere. If you subscribe, generation starts automatically with the same photo and style — no need to reselect either.
How do I cancel my subscription?
iOS Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Paparazzi AI → Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. We can't cancel subscriptions for you — Apple manages this directly.
How do I get a refund?
All purchases are processed by Apple, so refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We don't have the ability to issue refunds ourselves.
I subscribed but Premium isn't showing up in the App.
Tap Restore Purchases at the bottom of the paywall screen. This re-syncs your purchase from Apple. If it still doesn't appear after a minute, email us with your purchase confirmation from Apple.
Can I switch from Weekly to Yearly (or vice versa)?
Yes — you can switch plans at any time from iOS Settings → Subscriptions → Paparazzi AI. Apple handles the proration automatically, and your weekly allowance updates to match your new plan right away.
Privacy and data
What happens to my photo after I take or upload it?
If you have an active subscription, your photo is sent to our AI provider (fal.ai) over an encrypted connection so it can generate your paparazzi-style photo. Paparazzi AI has no backend server or database of our own — we don't store your photo anywhere. See our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.
Do you keep a history of my results?
Your results are kept in a My Paparazzi Shots history right in the App, but only on your own device — we don't store a copy on any server. It keeps your 30 most recent shots and you can delete any of them at any time; uninstalling the App erases it completely. If you also want a shot in your Photos app, tap Save from the result or history screen.
Do you sell my data?
No. We don't sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers. We don't run ads in the App. Our only revenue is from Premium subscriptions.
What permissions does the App need?
- Camera: To take a photo directly in the App.
- Photo Library (read): Only when you tap "Choose from Photos" instead of the camera. We use Apple's standard picker, which only hands us the single photo you selected.
- Photo Library (add): Only when you tap "Save" on a finished result.
- Network: To talk to our AI provider and RevenueCat for subscription status.
Troubleshooting
The camera screen says "Camera access needed."
Go to iOS Settings → Paparazzi AI → Camera, and turn it on. You can also tap Choose from Photos to use your Photo Library instead while you sort that out.
My generation has been stuck for more than a minute.
Sometimes our AI provider experiences high load. If a request does not complete within a reasonable time, the App will show an error and let you try again. If the issue keeps happening, email us so we can investigate.
The App crashed when I tried to generate.
Please email us with your iOS version, your iPhone model, and a description of what you were doing when the crash occurred. The more detail, the faster we can fix it.
My saved image doesn't appear in Photos.
When you tap Save, iOS will ask for permission to add to your Photo Library the first time. Make sure you approved that permission (iOS Settings → Paparazzi AI → Photos). Then try saving again from the result screen.
Reporting abuse
If you believe someone is using Paparazzi AI to create harmful content — uploading photos of people without consent, generating harassment, sexual content involving minors, impersonation, manipulated imagery intended to mislead, or any other illegal use — please report it to us immediately.
Email [email protected] with the subject "Paparazzi AI — Abuse Report" and as much detail as you can share. We take every report seriously and will investigate within 48 hours.
For sexual content involving minors (CSAM), we are required by law to report to the appropriate authorities and we cooperate fully with law enforcement.
